University of Massachusetts Lowell Toxics Use Reduction Institute

The UML Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) researches, tests and promotes pollution prevention methods and alternatives to toxic chemicals used in Massachusetts industries and communities. Located at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, TURI is part of the State's TURA program. This website link contains sections where you will find tools to reduce toxic chemical use at the source. "Programs" for industry, community and government research and support -- including networks and research consortia, environmental management systems, lead-free electronics, grants, and projects to measure and improve. "Toxic Chemicals" for useful groupings of chemicals of concern with fact sheets, health and safety facts, and Massachusetts policy and programs.
