MAKING A CAMPUS ICON: MONTCLAIR’S UNIVERSITY HALL ---From dream, to plan, to construction/commissioning, to use and guided tour by those who did it! DESIGN CHARETTE FOR RUTGERS’ INSTITUTE FOR WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP The design team including the end-users takes us through an actual design charette! Meet in Montclair State’s newly opened University Hall---“Built in the campus’ distinct Spanish mission style and with more than 270,000 square feet, University Hall provides a distinct counterpart to the University’s first building, College Hall which is still in use. It houses 52 state-of-the-art, technologically advanced classrooms, lecture halls and lounges, student study rooms, conference rooms and faculty offices – and dynamic educational programs and resources.” It is home of the University’s nationally recognized College of Education, Information Commons and Technology Solutions Center for students, faculty and staff and a top floor conference center with a spectacular view!
